When deep furrows grow beneath those blue skies
Or when your flaxen fields turn a dull gray,
Still not when the pink roses fade from your cheeks,
Never then will I think you have changed at all.

Not when my eyes cannot see your lasting beauty,
Nor when my ears cannot hear your glorious laugh,
Even long after I cannot smell your tender perfume,
I will still know that you are unmuttable.

You are my lasting angel, without the mortal sting,
Unquenchable beauty, undeniable charm.
Full of grace and mercy, you give unselfishly
Without end, without reason. Always the same.
