My eyes open to darkness as my senses come to being.

I remain lost in time for the brief moment, unsure of where you are.

I catch your scent first. The sweet fragrance on your pillow, leading me faithfully to your neck as my hands slide along the contours of your form.

Your warmth coursing through my bones. Your presence like a furnace of hot embers, illuminating the darkest corners of my existence as I move in close behind you.

The spark of your skin as my lips hit your neck, tasting you, finding you there in the night. Next to me. Graciously emerging from your slumber to meet my eager touch.

A slight moan from your lips breaking the hard silence. The sound of your quiet voice welcoming me next to you as my arms reach further for you. Surrounding you.

Your eyes meet mine through all obstacle of night. The sight of you looking back at me easing my soul back to balance.

I remain next to you.

My senses yours so long as you allow me to.
