Now we make love in two separate worlds.
You guarded, me timid.
Both lost in solitary thought
No longer sharing wonder.

Now our eyes rarely meet,
To exchange assurances
Or even question.

Time draws a circle around us
And a line between us.

And I know,
As I touch your body,
As I enter your body,
That time has abandoned us to truth.

Just a few words

speaking profoundly. Your message is forlorn, loud and clear. Well done.
