As I walk beside the autumn trees,
I try to catch the falling leaves,
Some are yellow, some are brown,
Bright spots of color dance all around,
Caught on rifts of autumn wind,
They float and jerk and prance and spin,
I hold my hands up to the sky,
And pretend that I can fly,
September day fade into night,
I'll dream a dream of taking flight,
And when I wake we'll meet again,
To laugh and dance and dream and spin....
