I do try one day at a time.
I find it hard from woe to climb.
I hope I shall soon be set free.
O God, grant me serenity.

Sometimes I just find this life hard
with all these thoughts my head is jarred.
I truly know you hear my plea
O God, grant me serenity.

So many things I cannot change,
I know my request is not strange,
life is not all a jubilee
O God, grant me serenity.
