Mother,
your daughters
are glistening & spread
in the house of worship

feverishly
they are working their fingers in sin

crying out to you
reaching for you
but you turn away
& give them your back

They know not
why their blood boils,
They know not
why they gnash their teeth,
They care not
of all your religious toils,
They fear not
what lies beneath.

So drink I say,
drink the wine of the covenant
& kneel before your father
in apocalyptic communion

You are all just dying
for a rebellion
mommy & daddy's little hellions
beaded & plaid

Such virtuous ravens
wrapping your legs around salvation
Clawing at it
ripping it to pieces
