Will the pain go away, if I close my eyes and imagine it gone?

Will u be here,if I call out to you and open my eyes?

Shall I still be blinking back the tears?

Standing in the shadow of my long loved home,

Basking in the security of a delusion of dreams,

I await reincarnation Of the fickly foenix,

burning still to ashes with cool indifference of the blue flames.

Will you be there when I open my arms and call out to you?

Days and dusks pass, the shadow retreats;

Claws come out, gashes bleed.

Nights reveal what the morning covers up,

Rains wash away some preserved foot marks,

Pains fade when the illusion receeds,

The light lets go of the sun it doesn't need,

Will you still await me, when darkness is your only guide,

Through paths of long shadows of the stars?
