EDELTRAUD 4: PORTATA LIMITATA => TO CATCH A SUMMER

AVRA
MONDAY EVENING
21/9/2015

SHADOWS OF LOVERS GONE

It's raining tonight in Avra Palm,
electric storm in the Libyan sea,
through lightening I see the water calm,
but that is not the only thing I see.

I see an endless row of summers gone,
and endless row of lovers with no name,
fork lightening abandoned, all alone,
kissing the water surface, soft and tame.

Their music always in a minor tone,
matches the thunder in its mournful mood,
shadows are dancing, then again are gone,
I'd call them by their names if I could.

Come all ye back and let me see your dance,
and I will sing for you in minor key,
no one will interfere with our romance,
no other to share with this old raki.
