Shared Connection

What is this connection that we share?
For I feel your presence when you're not there.
Your touch on my skin while you're miles away,
Making me wish you would come here to stay.

Tingles and goosebumps that cover my skin,
Leaving no doubt where your caress has been.
Arousing my senses, arousing my mind,
Arousing feelings I never thought I would find.

When I close my eyes you are all that I see,
A personal angel to come rescue me.
From a world of self-loathing, a world without love,
Freeing me from darkness to the land up above.

Changing from the monster that I used to be,
A difference only you could have brought out in me.
For without you I am nothing, a shell of a man,
So be with me darling as much as you can.

I would love to be with you every night,
With you in my arms, holding you tight.
But until that time comes I hope that you know,
How deep my love for you truly does go.
