There are no more yesterdays
You can never go back
Time seems to stand still
When you remember the past
All the shattered dreams
Still lay at your feet
An illusion of days gone by
Looking back
What have you accomplished?
Where are you know?
How ironic
That the path you chose
Lead you to the one place in life
You never wanted to go
Spending your life dreaming
Forgetting to live
What you do now in this moment
Finally seizing the day
Will you finally step out the door
Hoping to find what you've never had
The life you long to lead
Perhaps instead
Staying in the safety
Of the wall that you have built
Writing about the very things
That you haven't the guts to live
One body, Two choices
Do i stay the frightened child
I have become
For the rest of my life?
     or
Do I bring the child in?
So the woman can find herself in life
