She
She stays with me, for she finds protection here
She wanders by me, for she is restless with fear
She cries to me, for the pain she feels is great
She sleeps next to me, as she dreams of her fate
She stares at me, having thoughts that no one will know
She talks to me, her words soft and low
She smiles at me, but no joy lights her eyes
She questions me, but I have no answers to all her "why's"
But I'm only the wall of the lonely room where she lives
Trying to heal and find the comfort that only time gives
One day she'll find the door that leads to sunlight
Then...she'll leave me, when she finds a man that is right.
