SHE CAME IN THE NIGHT

She came in the night
For my love to win,
She consumed my passion
With her sweet soft skin.

She held me close
And kissed my lips,
She soothed my body
With gentle fingertips.

She warmed my soul
And touched my heart,
She whispered in my ear
That we'd never part.

But when the sun
That day did rise,
She was not there
To fill my eyes.

She was not there
For me to hold,
And suddenly the warmth
Had returned to cold.

For she had left me
Without leaving a trace,
And then all I held
Was an empty embrace.

But then I smiled
For funny it seemed,
For I realized she existed
Only when I dreamed...BWL
