I can understand your hate, even your rage,
But your brooding and silence are painfully vague

Emotions in a place, quite and loud, expanding out
Even to be heard above our shouts

The tattoo of pain and hurt, beating on the drum
To the same old rhythm, the same old hum

Surfaced amid the rage and noise,
A glimmer of hope among your poise

The rhythm slowing, coming to a halt,
The silence growing, released from it's vault

The pain on top, a cell for the silence,
Finally broken empty of violence

You talk, you cry, you rage outside
Visible for all to see, unable to hide

I can see the rage even the hate
For now I've seen it it's not too late

The silence loud as voices talk
Finally everything nothing to balk

The brooding open, the silence stopped
Finally flow, no longer blocked
