For years and years
We followed our path
It became a groove
Then became a rut
Without our knowing.

Something happened
To both of us
Jolted out of the path
to look around
And see what we have missed.

Which way do we go?
Back into our rut
No, didn't we miss too much?
Down new, separate paths
No, aren't we still joined?

Sideways?
A new path together?
Different ways and perspectives
She moves me
Are you still curious?

I am.

Interesting, ways of thinking and life do become ruts, maybe that's part of the reason why change is so hard for humans, safer on the path I've worn so well.
