Have you ever heard silence?
I have, its not that peaceful.
When all is quiet,
And all is still,

I sit alone and listen till,
The sound of nothing,
Fills the air.
The ticking of the clock

A key turn in a lock.
A piercing cough to break the calm.
A hurried breathe,
Too short to sense

Could be heard in air so dense.
The low hum of the boiler,
The click of the alarm.
The loud and never ending snoring,

It all sounds so very boring.
These all make up silence
All these things contribute
So now you see,

Silence isn’t silent to me.
