I fucked up,
I will admit to that.
I took you too far, now I can't bring you back.
I dragged you down, liking how you felt in my arms.
It's all too familiar now.

Holding on to the promise of a sweet escape,
but I long to feel you break against me one more time
Calling out to
anyone who can hear me.
Longing for my soul to end in silence.

On the bed, next to me I know your there,
slipping deeper in that space where
I can't reach you.
I admit it excites me to see you fade before
me.
No resistance to what I have to offer.

Holding on to the promise of a sweet escape,
but I long to feel you break against me one more time
Calling out to
anyone who can hear me.
Longing for my soul to end in silence.

I thought you where the one to end the cycle,
to make me whole and bring me to the light again.
I thought you were the one to hold me,
your like all the rest, you weren't strong enough
to take me.

The pieces now won't fit together.
Stuck in this moment forever,
between the two of us, I see the pain more clearly.
I long to see how this will end when neither of us want it too.

Both of us holding on to the promise of a sweet escape,
Longing to feel when we break each other.
Calling out to what surrounds us.
Longing to hear the silence.

Holding on to the promise of a sweet escape,
but I long to feel you break against me one more time
Calling out to
anyone who can hear us.
Longing for our soul to end in silence.
