He calls to me late,
in the deep dark night.
That silent whisper,
vibrates through me just right.

I hear his voice
whispered in my ear,
I lean towards it,
missing something, I fear.

His silent whispers
vibrate so sweet,
touching my core,
leaving me replete,

He whispers in the night,
how it crawls through the miles.
I hear his voice in my thoughts,
feel his breath on my smile.

How does he do it?
I feel him so near,
but I know in my heart,
he's far from here.

He's close enough to feel
whether near or far.
Of this I am glad,
for he is my guiding star.

He is m'Lord,
patient and with care.
I know I can trust him,
for he will always be there.

And though I have much to learn
I am confident I will grow.
For what more does a flower need,
but the light to feed it's soul?
