I thought it was just,
A simple flirtation,
But my feelings I discovered,
Have always been involved,

I was just never willing,
To admit it til now,
Knowing I might lose you,
Made everything clear,

Now I know what I want,
I don’t see why I didn’t see it,
Everything I wanted was here all along,

Maybe I was just scared to reach for it,
Because I thought I might lose it,
Before I even got it,
You can’t lose something you don’t have,

I’m willing to admit it’s not simple,
I’m scared I’ll lose it all,
If I tell you exactly what I want,

But I’m a big girl now,
And I have to look after myself,
Big girls don’t cry,
Yet the tears keep falling.
