Sister,
As the cold winds blow
There's one thing i know
You fade away,
Fade away into nothingness
And here in my custody your children stay Thankful that they no longer see their Mother kill herself day after day.
No longer swimming in a pond
To the ocean you stray
So far gone unable to find your way.

As winters' approach
This subject i must broach
Ten long years it has been,
Bailing you out over and over again.
One mess after another
Feeling like your God damned mother.
Watching this dangerous tango, years of Abuse to your body and soul
Taking it's toll starting to show.
Refusing to change your life
Accepting in Its place chaos and strife.

Sister,
The winter chill sets in,
As does the needle in your arm
No longer caring and oblivious to the harm The devils powder running thru your veins Dancing with the devil don't you see he holds the reins?
How long will you let this dance
Make you a slave?
With hepatitis "C" don't you realize
You already have one foot in the grave?

As the snows frost settles on the ground Just as it has settled in your heart
I briefly wonder when you got this far, How in the world did it start? No longer Knowing fantasy from reality,
The stealing,lies and deceit
You have lost all sense of morality along With it your sanity.
Yet you are the only one who can
Set yourself free
You alone hold the key.

Sister
As the ice melts making way for spring
Nothing has changed with you,not a thing. Breaking the ties that bind,
Leaving them all behind.Learning to
Let you go,the only way i know.
Your girls, the children my main concern In hopes that one day you will learn. Listening to them pray by night, praying That you will fight, pleading with the Lord To make you alright.
Brakes my heart
Witnessing this sight.

Very touching

Something this touching obviously comes straight from the heart. What a wonderful, compassionate person you must be. The things you have gone through in your life have surely made you a stronger, more determined person.

I enjoyed reading this, but I hate that you had to write it, because it speaks not only of something that happened to people you love dearly, but also of the ills of our society.
