So how am I supposed to pass
up Sister C?, I ask.
I had a dream you left a note
this morning on the porch.
You left a note in all the snow,
the stairs were soft and deep;
you left a note- where are you, girl?-
you left a note in snow.
In snow I drifted over time;
in snow I should have been;
in snow but I was deep myself
in sleep and drifting white.
I smoke a cigarette on the porch
and watch the sun go down. And wonder
how am I supposed to pass,
I ask you how I'm supposed to pass
up Sister C, I ask.

Hey I really like the repetition in this one. Gives the feel of the wait. I have been on that porch and I understand the circles. Well done.
