I am tired of making myself look like others expect me to.
Paint my face,
Rake and burn my hair.
I like having clear, clean acne dimpled skin.
I know I am not perfect.
Why should I try to look it?
I am chunky;
Kangaroo belly,
Stretch mark badges of honor,
My son loves me for who I am.
Mommy is Angelina Jolie;
Mommy is magick!
Tattooed and pierced,
Goth,
Pagan,
Mattering not to anyone important.
And it shouldn’t matter to anyone else, either.
