Six Months Old Today

byBoxlicker101©

January 21
See the little angel lying there so cute and sweet,
Mittens on her little hands and booties on her feet.
She can cry and whine to us if she has things to say,
Born an early Christmas gift; she’s one month old today.

February 21
Lying in her bassinet; she’ll be there for a while.
Looking all around and sometimes showing us her smile.
Bundled up against the cold and sleeping night and day,
Lots of time for growing up; she’s two months old today.

March 21
Smiling as she kicks her legs or waves a chubby arm,
All of us will do our best to keep her safe from harm.
Laughing, gurgling, pooping too, for that’s a baby’s way,
Making lots of baby talk; she’s three months old today

April 21
Bouncing on her bouncer in the middle of the floor,
Looking up when hearing someone coming through the door,
Laughing when she sees a friendly face that looks her way,
Recognizing people now, she’s four months old today.

May 21
Graduated to a crib and sleeping through the night.
Gaining weight and getting loud; we’re doing something right.
Toys are now surrounding her; she’s learning how to play,
Turning over by herself, she’s five months old today.

June 21
Placed upon the floor to show us all what she can do.
Ev’ry day it seems as though she’s trying something new
Rolling over’s easy now; she does it right away.
Pretty soon she’ll start to crawl; she’s six months old today.
