SIX SECONDS TO IMPACT: THE MOMENT I FELL IN LOVE.
I'm in the air. That was the exact moment I realised it. I don't know the real reason that thought finalised a conclusion in my mind at that particular moment.
Maybe it was the thought of the impending death coming or the fact that I may not get to chat with her that evening. All I was certain about is that the numbers sparked the thought to life.
Written in black, permanent marker ink on my bicycle handlebars the numbers 25678504968, funny enough I saw them as the impact of the crash sent me sailing over them. It was awesome! The feeling was awesome! Here I am, sailing to my death and all I could think of was calling a girl I'd never met. Calling her to say "Chocolate, I love you. Will you marry me?"
My eyes look up and see the almond tree that's to break my neck. At that instant a message comes in on my phone and I'm wondering if it's her that just sent a message through whatsapp.
Next thing I hear is a deafening thud and a loud crack sound, then silence, then darkness.
Every morning I wake my left shoulder aches, it never healed so the moment is never forgotten. You might think I'm crazy but I'd like to relive those six seconds again. And again...

Pain

Is the loud "crack" your neck breaking? (You said your neck was destined to break earlier). More about the neck! Because it's the real point of contact here, and a more cathartic / meaningful expression of unrequited love than some contrived sex / love scene which is never going to happen. Anyone wanting to hear a really sickening fatal neck-crack can check out the unarmed combat scenes in 'The Deep', 'Marathon Man' or 'The Long Kiss Goodnight'. (I always avoid these films for exactly that reason).

Interesting thoughts, emotions and progression

Very nice and subtle content. Very rich. As to form - a prose poem. Well, I read it (several times in fact) and I usually do not - or at least find I cannot read to the end.

I am interested to see more from you.
