Leaves rustle in the wind and crackle under steps.

The breeze is cooler and I know winter is coming.

This pleasure will soon be past and the leaves will be hidden by snow.

I stare into the clean, blue sky and fly away.

Dogs bark in the distance and when I concentrate, I can hear children playing.

They are outside and separate from me.

I have everything I need for now.

The sky...the breeze...and the memory of you that crowds all of them out of my mind.
