Non-Erotic PoetrySlinkyWhen a slinky is dropped from a height
the information relay of gravity
travels up
through the coils
beginning at the bottom
the top remains suspended in mid-air
as the coils below
release to the floor
each spiraling downward
as the reality of gravity arrives
finally that undeniable force
reaches the top
the slinky springs back together
falling, in unison, to the unknown
