is this where you want me?
somewhere between
tip and spill
waiting to make that move,
fingers slipping from the ropes
that hold me back
from my intentions

falling off the edge of
maybe
into the oblivion of
yes

will you meet me there
oil warmed slick
and open

or make me crawl
head down through the fears of this delivery
blistered hands, graveled knees

we fight the five headed beast of desire
who exhales the fire of sin
and frost of inhibition,
his eyes pierce with logic and promises,
scales emit the musk of self-consciousness.

will you throw me passion's blade?
shield me with mirrors
as he falls into himself
one head at a time

or watch me extend
to take the bites I fear
yet crave, begging you

please
call me, calm me
take me weakened, broken down

is this where you want me?
somewhere between
tip and spill
waiting to make a move
fingers slipping from the ropes
that hold me back
from my intentions?
