Only in the moonlight
When shadows steal the scene
The silver glitters in your hair
Its slivers sharply glean.

Tell me in the moonlight
How you will never leave
Make promises I shall forget
To which, for now, I'll cleave

Hold me in the moonlight
Let's make the world our own
We'll twist ourselves together
Like brambles over-grown

Forget tomorrow; moonlight
Is the Universe defined
And when the sun breaks in the East
We shall make each other blind

Let me have this moonlight
Let me pretend you're there
Be with me, in me, round me and
Let me pretend you care
