I read her a story.
A woman awaiting
her husband’s return home
has a strange sense of foreboding
creeping slowly upon her.

The story was powerful,
precise in the eery feel of fate
stealing in to the midst
of two lives, in one moment
dividing two destinies.

She was moved,
as I had been.
Was I mistaken?
Or did we both understand
the end a bit too clearly?

Dark

Liked the dark picture you have painted. Showing so much ... or not. Left me wondering ... what happened?

Nice poem here.
