You said I was crazy
When I told you I could smell rain
You didn't think you'd see the sunshine
That's shining in your lover's eyes again
Why did you ever leave?
Why did you ever go?
I told you I'd love you for all eternity
Said I'd love you 'til I die
Did you ever love me back?
Did you ever love me so?

I want to tattoo love all over my arms
And wrap them all around you
Hold you in the warmth you so deserve
But now you're gone; what did I do wrong?

The sun is hidden behind dark, sullen clouds
Tears keep pouring from the sky, as they fall from my eyes
I breathe in the lonesome scent of rain once again
And wonder why your eyes were so blind
And your heart so empty, yet filled with so much pain

I long to touch the smooth velvet of your summer skin
And feel your gentle fingers dance through my hair
As we waltz across the room, the sweet silence as our song
But the music has stopped; I can't stand the quiet anymore
I no longer have anyone to hold dear to my heart
It's barely beating without you

So, do you believe me now?
Can you smell the rain?
Do you think you're as crazy as I?
Do you ever get lonely every now and again
When you look out onto the gray sky...
Do you believe me now?
