ÓSept. 30, 2003

I sit here day after day and wonder
what my day has in store
I try to live in the present
but the past keeps popping in.

We once were happy
no worries no doubts
no thoughts about tomorrow
no regrets about the past.

I sit and wonder about the future
and all the dreams and plans
we once made
and still
the past keeps coming back.

Can we ever escape the past
can we go on from here
so many questions
but so very few answers.

Will today bring happiness
or will it bring sorrow
seems we never know what
it will bring.

Will it bring sunshine or rain?
Have we said all we wanted to say
or did we think
we had one more day?

Did we love each other enough
to get the other through?
Did we forget to say
I Love You?

What if we have no more tomorrows?
Have we left things unsaid?
Are we strong enough to make it
if tomorrow never comes?

Do we have enough good memories
to get us through the long
and lonesome days
ahead?

Have we took the time
to let those we love and cherish
know just how special they
truly are to us?

So many times we never think
so many times we wait
we figure we can do or say
it all tomorrow.

What would you do if this was
your last day?
Would you try to tell everyone
how much they mean to you?

We live in a world in such turmoil
we never know
what will happen
as they walk out the door.

So many loved ones have gone before
so many things have happened.
Are we prepared
to go on alone?
