Behind my quiet smile there lies a crying child, because that is what I truly am on the inside
…a child
My vacant eyes keep hidden the images I wish to erase, impossible as it is
As I silently write, I go unnoticed,
The voice in my ear screams,
“Why!? … this is so unfair…”
Alone, deep down, I trouble not a soul but my own
NO ONE should pity me
Though I’m imprisoned, never to be freed
I shout to no one
I hide the scars; the unhealable wounds under my false smile and fabricated tone
No one is troubled
So I continue smiling quietly
