Some go hungry

Some go hungry others take their fill.
Some learn at every venture and some just never will.
Still some may leave us early never using what they’ve known
While others remain far to long seeing none of what they’re shown.

Like a horse led to the water you can’t make them drink.
The well of opportunity may as well have a leak.
They’ll stammer and they’ll stutter blaming anyone they find.
It’s always someone else’s fault they have such empty minds.

Society won’t face it, they’ll find a fancy name
That somehow skirts the facts of life
The rest of us to blame
