Hovering and bent behind me
this aged body orchestrates
some things too near to touch,

your voice purrs gently urging me
to open myself and trust that you
know the secrets of my skin,

and though your scent has faded
the volume on the telly is lowered
a red vest hangs waiting in my closet.
