Someday the trees will sing again,
Someday I feel revisit the grounds of the past
Someday I will find my way to love.
Until then I seek the sanctity of the rainforest
Shielding me from the prying eyes
I walk barefoot down a trodden path
Touching each tree I pass feeling its strength
It is peaceful, it is shelter
From the skies that seek my flesh to feast on
The birds are singing their song
Timelessness in its beauty and its gift
I lift, I feel free at last.
Someday the trees will sing,
And I will sing with them,
My song will join with theirs
The Ode to Eternity
And our song will reach forth and pierce each fate
And bring antithesis to broken promises and wishful thinking.
Oh yes, one day.
Someday the trees will sing
And it will sound truly beautiful
