Somewhere, a heart is torn
its parts dispersed throughout the land
its blood falling like tears from the sky
its love scattered like dust in the wind

Somewhere, a heart is lost
alone in a sea of lovebirds
cast away like an unneeded wrapper
adrift in an ocean of despair

Riecti Fidi

As the darkness of the world closes in around,

And the light of liers makes false promises of release,

A few will cry into the night:

Media Vita in Morte Sumus!

I swear they will be saved,

If only by my dying breath.

~~

That desolation of the 2nd line, 2nd strophe, says it all.
