    college un-bound

(& institutionally un-tethered)

      inquiring glances asking

         (which way goes the weather?)

       teeth was on edge,

  our fists to the sky,

  (over & over)

     "resistance is fertile!"

    we cried.

  crazy-cool conspirators,

seeds sewn in the underground,

        the roots

     of disestablishment

  burying deeper down

counter-culture pulse
    drummed out

  a rhythm of the past,

our eyes was wide open now

but,

how would the revolution last?
