Silhouettes of birds in the moonlit sky,
One owl's hoot answered by another.
A wild stallion reigns supreme
over the mares he keeps.
Ducks take their young under
their wings, the male standing watch.
Off in the distance, a wolf howls. Nothing.
It howls again, and those that hear it cry,
Feeling the soul wrenching loneliness from the
One searching for its mate . Its cries
Have become the music of the night,
As all else is now silent
