Song of the bullfrog

It is nighttime.
The Moon is shining
The Air is crisp .The world is silent
As the evening is aroused
By the sound of the bullfrog in the pond
They sing alone or in groups
Each one singing softly at first,
Becoming louder, outdoing each other.
Their songs echoing for miles
Carried on the wind through the valley.
Their hearts and souls in their throats
Singing their melodies ancient in time
Individually all their own.
As their song travels through the air
The lady frogs from miles around hear
What they need to hear and begin to move
.Moving with speed to this noise
That they know is for them alone.
Traveling swiftly filled with want
This is what they were born for.
This is what they need tonight.
Each one moving toward the minstrel
That sings the loudest, sweetest, filling the air
With the vibrations they seek within them.
Their cold blooded bodies craving contact.
And in the night the owls and bats hear the cries of love.
The sweet sound of a music not made for them
But they fully understand
Understand all to well
For the sake of the sweet singing bull frog.
This song has a different meaning to them.
He that sings the loudest, sweetest is gone
In a flash taken by a swift relentless force
Nature left him totally unprepared for.
And in the night our lover's song is heard
By another lover , a lover nature has taught
Not to sing but to listen.
And as the ladies of the night
Travel to their destinies, hearts pounding
Desires oozing from their bodies,
They are greeted by these silent lovers
Who have also heard this song
And have traveled with them.
Now they sit on the thrones of fallen kings
Their urgent needs just as strong as those
That made their coming glory possible
The the ladies of the forest arrive
to fill the night with passion
The air strong with the smell of sex.
The silent lovers fill their needs.
