for my heart to still,
I am forever banished.
No longer can I sense the gift of you beauty,
Beyond the shadow of the naked flame.
You are my songbird in the night,
I pray for your return.
Even if the stars fell from the sky tonight,
I would still remember
Your sweet breath of life on my lips.
