Visiting the dreams I'm keeping
Always leaves me gently weeping
Because I can't let go
Sorrow finds me when I'm waking
Any happy dreams forsaking
Another bleak day in the making
Because I won't let go.
Sorrow finds me when I'm working
Mind wandering, my duties shirking
Depression 'round the corner lurking,
As I fight to let go.
Sorrow leaves me when I'm dying
No more pain and no more crying
Away from earthly troubles flying
Dear God help me let go.

twelveooneabout 13 years agoI like the thought behind this, rhyme scheme gives a nice echo effect. Execution could be better, but that could be said for anything. The last Stanza as is, get rid off, plummets to trite, not what you want.
