You were offended and now we suffer
A clash in time, it was not intended
I am to blame to have invoked
feelings of rejection, feelings of shame
Friendship lost in a moment of time
A flash of anger, and at a cost
I live, I feel rain, just like you
Touch my skin, feel the pain
I offer my chalice, for within my heart
and within my soul there is no malice
Life’s no game. We must learn
never to make that error again.
