SOUL

As I gaze down the corridors of my mind
I see it. It. A time of happiness a cool breeze
A dance on a cold windswept night
The smile on a child’s face
      A dream
      Last stop for tommorwland
A time for loving, a time for caring
Is that it? Is it the real thing in my head?
Beckoning me forth? Is it one thing or more?
I see a myriad of faces pass before me, a jumble of names
Flow from my sweet lips like the speech of a baebel fish
My mind is numb I cannot see
Won’t you wrap the night around me?
My candle is there outside my reach
But you can reach it,to hold and console,
No breeze to extinguish my flame
      Not here, not now
      Maybe soon but not today
Are we revolving around a greater purpose
Are we just spinning in a vast array of nothingness

I don’t know…………………………do you?
