Her white bloom is perfect,
like the rarest orchid, deep in some Asian forest,
and she sings a pure song of love and beauty
that echoes beyond herself.

Her ‘self’ is clean and beautiful,
shielded by her luminous, divine heart from
the ugly and decadent glare
of the city’s alluring cries.

Her passion is more profound
than the voice of Maria Callas–
deep, unfathomable, exquisite–
to be treasured and adored
but only upon her choosing.

Her song is more powerful
than the eloquent pleas of the Geisha
in its ability to compel,
to create and recreate
desire forever.
