Souls Entwined
by A.G. Hamilton

Your hair plays in the warm evening breeze.
The setting sun casts its amber glow across your face.
You smell of fresh bloom hyacinth.
The diaphanous dress you're wearing dances around your legs.
You throw your head back,
taking in all of the pleasures your surroundings provide.
I sit here entranced by you.
By your very being,
the beauty that is yours,
truly transcends all words known to me.
Your mere presence is pleasure to me.
When I'm near you,
I feel love and when you're away I feel empty.
At night when you sleep I watch the subtle rise and fall of your breast and listen to the music that is your beating heart.
The years will never lessen my feelings for you.
The vows that bind us go deeper than words.
They are our souls forever entwined
