The eyes that glance and hope,
the eyes that wish and desire,
Eyes that meet each other
in careless glance and faithful promise.

Eyes of the other that glisten and surprise,
Eyes of wonder when first met.
The eyes that hold the color of the soul,
The eyes that see the others yet unseen.

The eyes that are the rainbow of the soul,
Eyes that show primal and emotion,
The eyes that show more than words can tell,
Eyes that show the primal fears and delights.

Eyes that can hide darkness in their light,
Eyes that hide light in their darkness,
Eyes that are but windows,
Soul's windows that stare with sight.

The eyes that lock in a single stare,
Eyes that melt the walls and build the ember within,
The stare where everything else ceases to exist,
The eyes that meet and two souls are only seen by each other.

The eyes that are windows to show the ember's spark,
Eyes that beckon and break away in fear,
Eyes that hope and show sadness,
The eyes that meet and show only love.

Eyes that looked and long for that unseen,
Eyes of hopelessness that look for hope,
Eyes that shed tears as nothing is ever seen,
Eyes that close and wish to never open
Never to forget sights once seen.
