In the park
On the streets
In our homes
We know no peace

For in a twinkling
Of an eye
We are abused
Tortured and more

For we are children
They call us the future
But we have No today
Tomorrow is wishful thinking
As we struggle to Survive
Yet another day
In South Africa!

We need this shock
Brutally simple.
You make crystal clear the horror of no tomorrow.
The barrenness of today,
described in unpretentious words,
tells of a systematic indignity
that should concern us all.

When the dead spirit of adults
ignores the longing of children,
there can be no tomorrow.
