You asked why so special
And I could only smile
Before telling you of the bitter whiteness
With a sudden burst of green

You asked why so special
I grinned and said don't you see?
Amid the total blankness
I was drawn to beauty unseen

You asked why so special
I kneel to whisper clear
With all the base desires
The air I breathed so clean

You asked why so special
Tears filled my eyes
A shake of head to ponder
An angel's blindness there

You asked why so special
My heart opens
Dares to welcome in
I cannot think, speak or answer more

You asked why so special
A blush you grasped my plight
This world is not so ugly
But you, but you so bright

I take a pen and scribble
These words prisoner within
Laying them before you
My special, so special one
