You touch me and leave me speechless,
All days brighten when I hear your voice.

Yesterday no longer buries my thoughts,
Tomorrow is not a concern.

Wondering is exchanged for wonderment,
At the chance to hold you in my arms.

Our conversations, new and delicious,
Spark long since forgotten dreams.

An emotional state rarely used,
Is stretched to previously unknown limits.

A call for commitment elicits no alarm,
For once, it brings eagerness and relief.

A flirtatious smile lingers on your face,
Sharing space with my last kiss.

A shared embrace,
Churns formerly dormant desires.

At an age when life decline is knocking,
Fears are extinguished by spirit renewed.

What promise does tomorrow bring,
Is left for the day to arrive.

Present is happiness, joy and serenity,
Washing over past relations failed.

Igniting a question, a torment inside,
Where have you been all this time?

The familiar promise of

New love; for some a

One time thing and others

An oft experienced phenomenon.

well may you ask of your muse

where indeed hath desire been

we look to now to enjoy the now

looking back to see where we've been

forward is the only unkown

in our awkward passion play

we celibrate the arrival of desire

and only hope she'll enjoy her stay
