Awakening from beneath
sleeping slumber,
sun invigorated life anew,
fresh morning air crisp
caress, petals open to it
awake, shake off the cold
clamp of winters lonely
fingers
embrace with ardent fervour
the devotion of light
embrace
musky dew drop scent
cries out to be pollinated,
needing a welcome invader
to stroke her bud,
refresh her life force,
pierce her core, so that
springs show can be sprung,
a sigh as handsome humming bird
arrives, he flits about, teasing
daring, revering her
before settling over sweet soft
entrance, his beak plunges
deep, to drink of her nectar,
pink petals part, his penetration
nips her soul
