Spring gusts shatter lives
and break upon pregnant pause
stirring rapture to violent times
passed to silent claws.

With subtle sway or charging way
comes the two-faced friend of man
the shallow twist of natures jest
a quick irony in the making.

Shorn the face of mountains
shattered the visions of men
despite the rage of thousands
we can’t thrive without the wind.
